OK does anyone know were i can find a 195x10x50 all the 10's ive found only got to about 165 or possibly 185.
I know i could stretch a 185 on just but i really dont want to expose the rims that much.

what size are the wheels you are wanting to fit the tyres onto

165 is the widest road tyre on a 10 inch rim or is it a race car ?

You can stretch a 165/70 x 10 over a 7 x 10 wheel, but it'll be a proper stretch with very rounded shoulders!
As Bungle says, the easiest way is to put an innertube in there. The main problem is that it is difficult (when fitting the tyre) to get the beads to seal on the rim.
But that will be the tyre fitters problem (unless that is you).
I have never heard of a wider road going tyre than the 165s but you may be able to get a race type tyre that is road legal??? It'll be a specialist job though!

Are certain tyres classed as illegal, or are there rules they have to meet and so are illegal bcause they fail to meet the requirements?

some tyres have for race use only, avon cut slicks are for a class of motorsport, where road legal tyres need to be used so are a bend in the rules both ways

So when a manufacturer release a new model of tyre they'll say its race use only and therefore it'll be illegal to use that tyre on the road?!
To play devils advocat, what if you were to use a wet race tyre on the road? Would the police really know? :fear:
