i thought all minis were diesel, im confused now, they made a petrol version?

My uncal uses it in his speedway/grass track bike its mentel, bit like big nitro model engines.


Random off topic question and i know it probly isnt possible and would be useless if it was.

But i always wonderd if you could make/modify an Aserise into a diesel.

It is off topic.... and has already been done, Google BMC mini tractor

It uses Cooper S valves........

looks intresting but seems it was still a differnt engine not a converted one. Altho they did a converted petrol that gave more toruqe at low revs

You'd have to tune the engine to fire properly on methanon (just like tuning them to run on high octane petrol) Or the plugs will fire too soon and you won't get the most out of it.

Not true, someone said this to me, so i tried it, i put some on an old t-shirt and lit it, it burned with a normal blue/orange flame.

but yer, methanol on its own does burn clear.
