Hi seen the forum is dead at the min so started a new topic.



So have u z cars lads got some funny tale's at the lights or b roads blasts the z cars mini is a bit off a bit off a q car thinking off all them sti drivers out there that think they have the fastest cars on the road. Not promoting illegal racing on the streets mind;-)

Good effort in trying to inject some life into the Zcars garage as it has been pretty dead round here recently, with literally a hand full of Zcars owners keeping it going.

I am going to put my neck on the line here; I know you shouldnt enter into p!ss!ng contests with other people in cars on the roads but we have either all done it or still do it (come on Mr. McD I bet you have in the past). I will openly admit to having done it in the past but as I get older I do it a lot less (only 37 before you all start, but I guess that could be old fart age to some of the forum members). In one way or another we all do it, whether it be on the roads coming off a roundabout, away from traffic lights or even off the roads when circuit racing, hillclimbing, sprinting or 1/4mile, IMO it's all a big p!ss!ng contest. I expect some of you might argue that when entered into a race it is legal competition and that you shouldnt do it on public roads but some of us aren't able to afford to go racing so we make do with what we have at our disposal.

I now tend to reserve my moments of theoretical illegality for when something truly worth the effort is involved and when those cars in standard form cost near to or in the hundreds of thousands of pounds it makes the £35K I put into mine worth every single penny, especially when I see that look of surprise in the drivers eyes in their rear view mirror as they just cant shake me, well up to a semi sensible speed anyway, then if they want to go doing 200mph they can go do it on their own. After all why would I have built a car that goes as fastas it does without wanting to prove it against something that the average motorist expects to be much much quicker. Or did I miss the point when I bought my kit and should have bought it purely for the driving experience??

You can flame me for the above but I bet most of you cant honestly say that you've never done it........its a primal thing......
