hello everyone

when i first joined my car had a fw jobs to sort out:
1. roof - C**p flag painted on
2. wheel arch(es)
3. boot - paint work fading
4. steering wheel
5. fuel gauge readings

right, last week i ordered 2 wheel arches, new fuel tank sender unit, and touch up paint. :) went to collect them, wheel arches direct from italy.... one fitted other didnt now awating for other wheel arch. grr.... :) fuel tank and touch up paint due tomorrow.

oh and steering fixed by alan friend of mine with his autin cooper s rally car. sorted it out with brute force going back and forth on his driveway to align the wheels. sorted. Now i can see the speedometer! Horah! :)

this week ill be fitting the arches and fuel sender unit.

now that all these tasks will be sorted out, the last thing to be sorting will be the rust. :) we all have it somewhere, apart from a few.... but anyway any tips on that?

dan w/b dtm man 's dad is a car body specialist but i think ill only use his services for the major areas as the costs will rise too much. but for now it will be touch up paint and car body filler

oh and alan took part in a classic car rally in belgium, ill try get some pics of them. he also has video footage of inside the car while going through the stages.
they had to retire tho due to blown head gasket.

Faded paint work on the boot may just need a bit of red T-cut and machine buff.
It's surprising how you can bring paint work back to life this way. Especially if a re-sprayed boot has never had it done in the first place.
Angle grinder and appropriate buffer fitting would do the trick. Or perhaps the same but with a powerful drill.

paint is ordered ready for me to pick up when i can from barrats canterbury
