I can only just get my low slung race jack under the front subframe, wont go under the sump guard.
jacks supposed to go down to 71mm, but never checked it.

It only rubs with my dad, or mini-jon in it.

only done the rear at the moment as i need new cones on the front, but ive ended up with this...

its not too bad driving, tyre very occasionally touches the arch, although having 3 people in the car is a no... gaz shock absorbers are set something like 11 from the softest to prevent it being quite skittish on the road..

although this then happend on my dads drive...

exhaust is something like 4 fingers from the ground so its ok :)

not ideal in london, and on the arches, oh and on the tyres unless you want a huge marking on the tyre where it rubs like crazy :)

i just got adjustable lower control arms with poly bushings for mine today

got a set of hi-lo's and mini tastic fast road springs and lowered gaz shocks, mini spares hd tie rods

thats how im gonna lower the front as much as i can, and use the adjustable arms to keep the ball joint
in a ok amount of travel in them

sorry on offtopic, but with adjustable lower arms you have not fear with ball joints? i'm also going to adjustable arms, how do you set up camber?

I actually had it like that for a month, it was fine until a passenger got in, even though it probley would only lower it another 1/2mm that would cause it to rub the tyre on the metal, you look in the rear view mirror and see smoke now and again from the tyre.. ops! but if it was just me alone driving it was fine. no fat chicks!

I tryed to get over a speed hump down my road when i drove it back the first time from the workshop, it basicly got stuck on the speed hump by the exhaust and that was at the 'drive over it sideways angle' that was the last time i went over them, so i always had to drive a slightly different way with no speed humps, looked good but not very practical!

Wouldnt have thought one of those low AA dollys would have been a problem?

Sonics not an everyday car, so I like him as low as possible.
With the 13s he was always rubbing in the rear. and when I had 6 people sitting in the back of him at ace he was sitting on the wheels.
when I get the 10s on he should be even lower, and I will get around to fitting the Spax and adjustable suspension on the front while doing the 7.9" brake conversion

About as low as i dare go around where i live, speedbumps EVERYWHERE :(

I wish it was low as the picture of mine and pauly's minis on the grass :(

To get a normal jack in i need about 3mm more clearance, so i have to jack the car up a little bit using the angled bit of the subframe at the front, drop it back down and get the jack underneath properly while the cone is settling back down :P

Racer pete, im im love with the stance of your mini :(
