I only use one on the drivers side which works well. I can imagine there might not be enough adjustment to use one on the passenger side without modifying the slot?

JamesC - what did you do in the end? I was thinking of mounting through the window, but won't do if it's not easy to make it actually possible to see out of the mirrors! :)

And did you have to drill through the plastic catch...?

Hi

I bought the MED brackets but never fitted them! I ended up attaching the mirrors through the sliding window catch just like Timmys. The passenger side does have poor visablity but I just look over my shoulder.

Cheers

Ian - any pros or cons to your set up?  I have same rally mirror mounts and mirrors, but now starting to not wanting to mount as I need to drill a single hole for that lower mounting point.  Interested in your thoughts.

To be honest I don't have any cons other than the need to drill an additional mounting point on the door. For me it wasn't an issue as the car is being used for rallies, but I still wanted it to look good. So the bottom mounting point is drilled and a rivnut installed so self tapping screws wouldn't be needed, rather I'm using allen key head bolts as I think they look well and are handy to remove later as the head won't rust like a screw does (the photo shows initial mock up with screwed on bottom mounting point before I drilled it out to allow rivnut to be installed).

I sit quite low in the car so I designed them using CAD (carboard aided design) and had my dad hold them against the car with the mirror to make sure I can see. Bit of fettling with the CAD template and I had them made up specially, but to look like the Speedwell ones.

I can see in both mirrors no problem from my seating position.
