Hi All

Another New Site has been put up for us now, making it much easier for everyone to order so take a look and tell us what you think! Hope you all like the homepage too

www.acwmotorsportplastics.co.uk

Here's a link to the previous thread we had with the TMF special deal - 15% off our Classic Mini related products to all TMF members. Unfortunately this has had to have been reduced to 10% due to the cost of plastic rising so dramatically with oil prices (as we all know!). Still, a very good deal <img src='http://www.theminifo...fault/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

LINK

If you would like to order call us and ask for Tony. Mention you are on TMF and the discount will be applied.

Tel: 01275 546008
Mob: 07977 231876

Cheers!
Dan

Why can't these be used with winding mechanisms? Do you do polycarbonate windows in the scratch resistant Lexan Magard? Regards Blue

Ill be sorting a couple of teething problems in the morning!

We don't recommend using the winders because the weatherstrips can get grit in which will scratch the windows.

We don't advertise Lexan Marguard but we do currently have a limited stock of it. Once its gone its gone for the foreseeable future. For TMF we can do a pair of Marguard fronts with slides for £115 plus postage.

Cheers
Dan.

New, easier method to get your TMF 10% Discount!

PM me for a single use discount coupon code which you enter on the website in the checkout! Much less hassle than before!

We also now have a permanent stock of Margard, the anti-abrasion Lexan Polycarbonate. This will be up on the website very soon.

Cheers
Dan

I assume it does, but does the windwscreen on a road car have to be made of glass?

Its shatter resistant, and stronger than glass..

Fitting and removal is simple aslong as you have the beading tool (diamond shape end to it, can be picked up cheap on ebay etc) and some string to string the windows in. The rear window is tight but aslong as you get the corners in first it will lip in with a bit of persuasion.

I will have to do a bit of research into windscreens on road cars as I don't know the answer to that one to be completely honest. I will get back to you on any info I find out.

Cheers
Dan

Just found this article:

LINK

Ironically, for road use, plastic windscreens are not legal – though it would take an eagle-eyed MoT inspector to spot the difference.

The article refers to Perspex windows, rather than non-shatter Polycarbonate windows though. But still refers to 'Plastic Windscreens' not being road legal. All other windows in Polycarbonate are legal for road use.

Cheers
Dan

Hi Dan, can you tell me how tight your windows fit into the rear quarters? I'm hoping to have them bonded in place but as the flange is only about 9mm thick they need to fill the gap...

Also can you fit the vents (or cut the holes) in the rear quarters ready?
