Wow Jonny
Just watch the video ( showing my age it’s probably called something more modern ? )
It’s looking and working amazing you must be well chuffed .
It’s funny I only just got to work on mine yesterday haven’t touched it for a few years to be honest been doing other projects you know what is like .
Just looking at setting a brake pedal box up looking like I am having to go down the floor mounted route as no bulk head room as the Suzuki motor is so close .
Do you know what size master cylinders I would need for
4 pot fronts ?
Suzuki discs rear ?
Plus I am having to go hydraulic clutch me thinks
I will have to get my finger out so we can meet up one day .....but I am not racing you as yours will whoop my behind :)

Glad to hear your getting back to it!

Thank you for the kind comments.

I wouldnt know on the rear disc side of things, would imagine they would be a bit overkill?

I use a 5/8 front and 3/4 rear cylinder but as its a bias pedal box the rears have hardly anything on them.

Cheers for that I must admit after making all the conversions for the rear discs I am not sure it's needed now but I am so far down the road with it ( not in the littoral sence unfortunately) i am going to give it a go. I am also going to bias it because I remember I had trouble with my other minus .

Bought some 3D printed boot hinges. Roughly 1/3 of the weight at 44g. Came from Richley Automotive.

Managed to pick up a new seat. Tillet B7 fia approved and only 3.7kg add mounts at 1kg. Decent weight saving. Shame I only have the one.

I’m changing to SC 5 port injection kit. Dropped a few grams from the coil Bracket.

Much need mani gasket change!

Stripped out the engine loom as I’m going to make a new one, gotten very messy with all the stuff I’ve added and changed.
Also at my last track day the screen shattered. I’ve ordered a plastic4performance moulded screen with anti fog coating. Should drop a few KGs.

My current parcel shelf was a bit thrown together. 2mm sheet of alloy and the original tank bulge. I’m chopping it all out and fitting a sheet of carbon instead. Still keeping it removable. Should be a lot neater and lighter.

The battery box also met the grinder! I’m moving the batter to the passenger footwell so it’s not needed. It weighed 1kg. Flat sheet should be 200g ish :).

I’m changing all the bolts in the rear quarters and rear screen to Ti with alloy nuts. The windows have always leaked a little so its a good time to fix that to.

As said above it was great to see it out on track at goodwood, that gtr couldn't shake you off his tail no matter how hard he tried haha. Love how committed with he weight reduction there are gotta be a few other bits you can replace with titanium haha

That seems to be quite a memorable moment for a lot of people at that show haha. Dont think the driver had much track experience. He was holding me up. Couldnt get by though, he pulled away down the straights and the marshalls didnt seem to care about blue flags that day.

Im no where near as committed as some people. I know quite a few cars under 500kg.
Its getting addictive. Everything I do now I try to make as light as possible. Hoping Ill drop 15kg this winter.

Nice progress from what was already an awesome mini! Only time I've seen it is at Brooklands Mini Day last year, you hoping to attend with the minus this year?

Ref weight saving ....top tip for you .....or NOT......;)
When I used to race scooter years ago one of our team mates religiously would go for a poo before every race as he was sure it saved a couple of pounds ??
I think it had something to do with me winning all the time and him getting desperate to find an advantage
But what he didn’t realise was if I had a poo he gained nothing ;)
Plus back then I topped the scales at 8 stone wet though:) and he was the wrong side of 10 stone ( so unless he could poo stones ) I always had a slight advantage:)
I would have to chop limbs off now to get to 8 stone again !
