Is there any reason why you have stuck with A series? I mean the 100% dedication to weight saving, but then keeping that heavy old tech when compared to modern engines with much higher bhp per kilo available?

I’ve been tempted by a few conversions. I only really see a bike engine getting the weight down considerably more. Always felt they don’t lend themselves well to a car though, I like torque. Did look at D series Honda, even bought a head but just couldn’t do it.
Something about still having the A series and it being turbo that I really like. I guess it’s not ‘cheating’! It surprises a lot of people. Not had many reliability issues either considering the use it gets.
