ok at the moment i have a 998 standard pretty much. I do a lot of motorway travelling and the 998 doesnt seem to do very well on pretol on there.
I was looking into a 1275, but i was looking on here, and theres not that much difference apparently. So whats my other options? i dont want to be changing to a vtec etc purely because of insurance and subframes changing (21 in dec) and i have 4 points.
I want a straight in and out engine swap pretty much but i dont mind the odd alterations, just not the subframe aha!
im looking to spend up to £650 for a good engine that will make a big difference.

I want some spot light for my 2 up 2 down setup im getting. I can spend up to around £100 maybe a little bit more for four of them. But i dont fancy the sets like
http://www.moss-euro...teIndexID=17811
http://www.minisport..._RINRL030C.html
only because i heard that there not that good from demon tweaks. But i have no idea for myself, ideally flat spot lights rather than bullet shaped ones, i think look better. SO thats what im looking for.
I need help! oh and ideally either the same size as the standard headlights or bigger. (and brighter the better XD)
thanks for the help guys!

998 to 1275 is a straight swap, i wouldn't say they are much better on petrol though but you won't have to try as hard, best thing is to make sure your 998 is set up properly if its drinking petrol.
it is set up properly, but on the motorway, its not that great and to be honest, if im using around 25 pounds of petrol a week i would rather be using 30 pounds of petrol a week on a bigger engine.
i know there a straight swap but i don't know if to get a 1275 or 1300 or a 1275 with something done to it.
:/ i looking for pull, not that bother about petrol to be honest, because by todays standard they still dont use that much petrol

Demon tweeks are ok, but expensive.
I dont think you'll get 4 new ones for less than £100 though. new decent ones like cibie are more than that just for a pair. on a budget you should be looking at ring, raydyot or similar.
