£150 from an auction site called copart, its a cat c writeoff and i hope to get my money back on it by breaking the rest of the car for spares. doors, interior wheels etc. chose to get it from a yard local to me so haulage costs weren't an issue. i'm pulling out a 1293 with mild cam and an lcb sitting on a gearbox thats covered a genuine 20000 miles' that'll be up for sale as well to finance micra build

I thought you were going to get it running with minimal wires before pulling the engine out?

got carried away! bought it as a non runner, got it running in knacked car and when i looked at what i had to do to get it running on minimal wiring i thought sod it i'm gonna do this one way or the other and just pulled the motor out. i'll decide later if i use the fuel injection or bike carbs so i'll deal with the wiring when i come to it. hope to start the subframe next week

Have you seen Ian's wiring guide? still looks very complicated to me, don't ditch the fuel-injection whatever you do. http://www.theminifo...howtopic=169642

naw, you dont need those wires or that fusebox. separate the engine harness that enters the firewall until you meet the junction that goes to the instrument cluster, unjack it and this is the smallest piece that you can use. think i have pics somewhere.
