They are brackets that go to the top of the radiator

Are you using the z-cars radiator and if not, what radiator are you using. I've read that the z-cars one is the same or similar to one from a Fiat Uno

To clarify

Fiat UNO radiator when using the standard mini subframe with the Z-Cars "crash bar"

When using the Z-Cars tubular front subframe a different radiator is used, I bought mine from Zeds and unfortunately has no identification marks on it :(

Thats not actually my photo its from the zcars website. But I do have some numbers for you.

Width = 580mm
Height = 400mm

There is a label saying its from euro car parts and "radiator various VW 1.4" They can be had on 0845 602 2585 (although the label is dated 2010)

Theres also these number in the label if you want to quote this to them

203 44 1201
69122
C/N 199

Hope that helps.

Euro Car Parts part no 203441201 is a radiator for a VW Lupo 1.4. So, yes that helps thanks.

It will work fine, my coolant sits at around 81degC whilst cruising and fans kick in at 87degC, never seen it above 89degC.

If you dont intend on using your engine coolant driven heater matrix in the car I suggest that you block off the unused pipes, dont put a bypass pipe (a simple pipe to bypass the removed heater matrix) on as the water will choose that route before wanting to get pushed to the front of the car to be cooled.

I am about to stick a chargecooler radiator in front of mine so that might have an effect on its performance but I dont see it being an issue when driving at speed, it might take a bit longer to cool when the fans are on.....
