looking for a valuation for my little mini as im thinking of upgrading to a cooper.

its a 1986 austin mini 998cc 'the chelsea'

its just come out of the bodyshop having the rear end sorted out after a bump,
new rear valence
new rear bumper
resprayed back boot area and quater pannel

fresh mot
fresh 12 m tax
had a new steering gaiter fitted and drivers tire to pass mot

a few holes repaired in the boot area and under the arches

had fresh oil change with new filter
new air filter

comes with 12" minilights with good tire tread

all standered inside apart from a new black carpet set
has a cd player and a speaker board inside
27k on the clock
solid floor

front end has slight surface rust

drives lovely and quite quick when it needs to be.

I reckon somewhere in the region of £1400 - £1800, looks like it could be a good little buy too :xxx:

lol
was hoping for abit more as i payed 1750 in sept and snce then spent about 800 on fixing it

bought it with a month tax and mot so surely now with full mot and tax its worth abit more than 1800?

i payed 1850 for a 87 998 with a pannel rust and rust underneath the lights, overall worse condition than yours but it did have a very good interior aftermarket. i wouldnt sell that for any less than 2000 even though ive been told its a bad time to sell minis. however regarding how much youve spent on it doesnt realy make that much of a differnce we never or very rarey make a profit or break even its just a case of how much you lose.

i was just interested in how much mini owners think its worth
and wenever its worth selling and buying a cooper iinstead of keeping the car and tuning it
