Hi all
I would like to see it close up, before thinking of buying, (which I am not)

No rad cowl, later brake system, washer bottle, a+ engine with
Rod change,
Ok all things that could be changed over the years but.

I know I am a bit out off touch with price’s £1000+ not for me
The only value is the number plate in my eyes.

John

There being no rad cowl doesn't mean its not a mk3. They were removed somewhere between 1971 and 72 from what I have seen.

Edit. Doh! it states its a 1970!!! sorry

hi
the cowl was removed from around sept 72 so the thicker rad could be fitted for mini sold for export ,for of all places holland, france? why no idea
john ( and it has later pedals)

That makes sense. thanks

The mini here also has incorrect speedo, dash rail, steering column cowl etc. Either two cars have been brought together, or it's a later on with drip rails added!

look at the rear seat back support in the boot, has the hole in the centre, so genuine mk3 shell, probably at some point in its life been "modernised" using a donor car hence the speedo etc behind the steering wheel instead of central, not a hard thing to sort out

It does have the lump on the transmission tunnel drivers side.

I assume the dash was all rearranged due to the airbox. I'm pretty sure I ran into this car in the early 90's when it had a turbo fitted.

:D)

That's definitely a MkIII shell, but not a lot else is original.
It looks like someone has taken a later car and transplanted everything into the earlier shell.

Most people assume a Mini is a Mini and they are all the same, but they are not. Along with the major and obvious changes there were quite a few subtle ones. The triangular inner wing/cross member fillets in the engine bay photo mean this is a MkIII. The strange thing is that almost everything else is from a later car, even the wiring loom and pedal box.

my mini 1000 which was built in mid 71 does not have a rad cowl and the shell is 100% original. i expect that maybe this car could be late 1970 and they prob phased it out then. the shell here is definitely early mk 3 which makes a change from all the reshells you seem to get, so value wise that will help a great deal, but as has been said the condition is poor and would require alot of work to get it back to spec.
