Interesting build Dave !

My car also has a Blackbird engine, and did use a Power commander 3 to look after it all, Ive still got the full hiss system + key, ecu and engine loom - not sure if your carbs or efi.

Mine has got a bias pedal box, so will have the 2 brake cylinders and no servo. Not sure what brakes your going to use ?

Yes I was thinking it won't need a servo as hopefully it'll weigh around 500 kg. The brakes I'm planning on are willwood dynalite 4 pots with drilled/ grooved discs, what Lind of money is involved in a KAD bias pedal box? Sounds like a good idea, have emailed z cars about their big brake kit to see if they could machine the bells to fit ford pcd but never had a reply yet.

A 500kg car doesnt need very big brakes. Mine runs Cortina front discs, Wilwood M16 calipers with Mintex 1144 pads. Grooved and drilled is up to you, Ive got 2 sets, and Ive just read an article recently , grooved and drilled on a small light car doesnt make a whole lot of difference.

OBP make good pedal boxes, avoid the cheap ones.

That's good to know about you're set up t66, higher performance ford gear is a lot cheaper than the z cars mental prices.
On a blackbird note do you use the bike clocks or digi dash in yours?
Also what's your front sus set up as you're obviously running ford gear as well.
Thanks Dave

Hi everybody, some good progress being made here. Just bought an accusump and valve etc so we can get the bracketry (is that a word?) all sorted before painting.
Cheers Dave

Hi, bit more progress.
Rear sus mounts, more cage work all just tacked at the minute. Should be doing final welding soon, then starting on front sub and suspension.

Would anybody have any input for spring rates for mid mounted bike engined mini, wondering what others are using.
I have avo coilovers on the mini but they came from a westfield so i suspect the rates will be wrong for the mini. I know there are calculators on the web but just looking for a starting point.
Cheers Dave
