You can get one at any auto electircal place, or parts place. If you get one of the right grade all you need to do is replace the bi-metal flasher with it and fit an earth cable.

Anything that says it will drive 21w x 2 +5w, and has 3 pins would be ideal. If you want to convert the car to use one common flasher for indicators and hazards it will mean a fair amount of wiring, it would be easier to use two electronic ones. The one for the hazards would have to run 21w x 4 + 5w and again be 3 pin, finding an electronic one that only powers one or the other might be tricky but it won't matter if you aren't using all it's capabilities.

Simple 5 minute job that makes such a difference. I did 2 mates cars last night.
Grab a 3 pin flasher relay (fiesta or any mid 90's ford i use as there are hundreds in the scrappy and they can drive hazards or just indicators)
Make an earth wire to a good earthing point and put it on terminal 31
With a test lamp (or multimeter) switch the ignition on and find the permanant live to your current flasher relay, connect to pin 49
Then the other wire connect it to the remaining pin 49a
Test them and smile at them working nicely, before you hide it away neatly. Some electrical tape around the wires isn't a bad thing either
Its the same process for the hazard flasher unit too using another fiesta relay

Checked eBay , about £15 each? Does that sound right to you?
Does anyone have a part number?

Bringing this one up again....

Both my hazards and indicators were running almost twice as fast as they should. So popped into Halfords this evening and bought two electronic three pins units. Got home and thanks to Charie's guide above, had them both fitted in less than half an hour. Most of that time was setting up a nice clean new earth under the dash.

Not only are both the hazards and indicators now flashing at a more relaxed speed, they even seem a little brighter. Best bit is a nice audible click too, old ones were silent.

So, nice easy job to do and sorted an issue that has been an advisory on the last two MOTs (I've only had the car two weeks).

So thanks for the posts above everyone.

Cheers

Ian
