Sorry for the lack of progress, I’m finding my garage has been taken over this last year by a horde of nomads and their dirt-bikes, and they don't seem to get to scared by a dude that drives a Mini…
I’m still on the trailer and Mini builds so don’t right me off yet, I’ve just been buy’n up stuff for the Mini and Trailer builds this year…

More to come, ...soon.

Yes it's true, after 8 years the "SLUG" returns....
Many life changing issues have crossed the Canucks path, but my heart is determined to continue and finish the trailer build.

Well for starters my name isn't Surely..?
But Easier, I'm not sure about that, though with enough money and time anything is possible, but the time and money for a restoration is being directed to my other 73 Mini build,.. and this trailer is the side-kick to that car.

Crazy Canucks chop-shop is back up and running.

Here we go....
I attached the rear rotisserie arm to the suspension mounting holes of the Boot half of the trailer. Now back a few postings you may have seen the part where I cut off the rain run-off seams,...
Yeeeahhh, wish I didn't do that!!
(Note to self!!!!)
"not to remove the rain run-off seams because it will add extra work"..
Zip up the seams with the welder first, then cut the seams off if you want the seamless look.

Well here is the exra work..
Oh, and for the record, no matter what you might think and how it may look, No I'm not a professional welder, or have any idea as to how to weld sheet metal. LOL

Was an eventful week, and the tin's are now technically together as one...

I'll see about putting a reinforced backplate on the inside of the welded seams to give them a bit more strength.. Then filling the welds with another few passes with the MIG "splatter wand"...(and yes I have dialed the welder down to get a smooth weld bead and a better finish.)

But the trailer is starting to take shape.

Now for the passenger side.
This side gave me a bit of a fight, but it worked out in the end...

So now with the "Boot'n Bonnet" as one piece, its time to go around the shell and cut out any rust and cancer on the bottom edge, and get it ready for a mock-up floor jig.
Then its time to make it all shiny again for filler, bondo, maybe a bit of fiberglass work, and prime it to keep from further rusting as we move onto the floor...

Thanks Mini-Mad, the Slug has been cooperative this far. I was thinking it would have been more eventful welding it together. I just hope it keeps going in this direction for the rest of the build.
Overall, I'm having a blast learning new things as I go.
