my car is coming home tomorrow so im going to start on the body.

it needs filling just under the headlights and one of the scuttle corners.

Any tips on getting it good? getting it flat with the rest of the panel?
the bit under the headlights looks like it will be hard because it is butted up to what i think is a seam. and i don't want to fill the seams.

any advice appreciated.

thanks guys

Warm the body filler tin, as it makes the filler easier to apply,

what is it you are trying to fill ?
if it is minior blemishes get a filler primer, this goes on heavy and is easy to sand.

Halfords do it in a can if you done have a paint supplier in your area

Get a tin of top stop, this is a 2 part filler / stopper so wont shrink as filler primer will.

you can use the filler primer for taking care of any minor scratches etc left in the filled surfaces

I read somewhere that mixing the filler in one direction was the best was of mixing it because it stop too much air getting into the mix (like with clay, you have to throw it on the table to get air out of it otherwise you'll get pinholes ion it or even worse, the kiln would explode!)
