got one of these...

what are the two knobs at the top for (circled red) and the bottom one (blue)??

just going to be spraying cely grey primer with it.

what do you reakon on thinning? 50/50??

i think 1 will be spray pattern and other will be air flow (amount of air going through), im sure someone will say if im wrong. lol

when ive mixed paint, put something in it, then pull it out when it stops running off, count the drips, ie 3 or 4 drips should be about right

One is pressure and the other is the width of the spray (if you get me?)

For priming you want the width to be quite short and over lap the edges as you go...

Hard to explain. Lol. You probably already know!
