I don't think it's acceptable to change the wheels, paint the bonnet and grill on a clubby estate.

Just ruins it in my opinion.

Again, thats your opinion and you're prefectly entitled to it. (EDIT: For the record, my first post wasnt aimed at old_skool_lewis. It took me that long to upload pics that I was miles down the list) Though this is exactly why I sprayed the bonnet and grill from my old clubman, and kept the ones removed from the car. That way I could offer them both if I ever came to selling it.

Yep, nothing wrong with doing something different. There's no shortage of clubby estates with rear windows.

Notice how it still has rear windows, as they all should have. Ripping the rear windows out should be banned IMO.

im all for keeping the rear windows in estates, but when the runners and seals are rotten, and van sides cost nothing, and the fact that it will look pretty damn cool all makes it ok to lose the side windows in some exceptions

No, nothing makes it acceptable.

It's like like removing external door hinges off an early mini or fitting mk3 rear lights to a mk1/mk2 or even worse, BINI rear lights.... Just foolish and making the rare ones rarer.

All in my opinion however.

its my car mate, i do what i like to it, and if people dont like it, they dont like it, i'm not building it to please others, only myself, why make your car look like everyone elses is what i say!

Agreed the point of having a car is an extension of your self personally i dont want to be like everyone else ...
