It was a nice day so wheeled the car out took a couple of photos and finished off a few things. Also started making some floor mats to match the rest of the interior, using the extra carpet I got from Newton I stuck it to some rubber sheet then trimmed to size finally sewing some leather binding on to tie it in with the rest of the interior.

One of the doors is now finally completed,

Found a solution to fixing the side trims on. I'm using the plastic alternatives bresco sell and then I used a rubber mallet and very gently tapped the chrome trim to close the gap ever so slightly so that it grips better.

That does look rather nice, that has made me think about keeping my fake wood, you say you got the clips from bresco can you put a link up of which ones they are as went to their site and they have a lot of clips, it would be great help.

Hi Woodenman23, If you dont mind me asking are those Wood and Picket type arches, and where did you get them from.

I don't mind at all. They are Bullet arches, which were used on some of the German market Sportpacks. You can get them from ABS Motorsport however I did modify mine a bit to get a better fit.

They have been trimmed down so that they suited my wheel set up, as they are pretty wide as standard. I modified them so that the fixings aren't visible, and at the rear of the rear aches I extended them so that they wrapped around the rear valence.

This weekend we sorted some wiring issues, programmed the Stack gauges with min/max water temperature and oil pressure levels and cranked the car over (not trying to fire it) to see if it would build oil pressure. It fluctuates between 50-60 PSI and takes 4-5 seconds to get there. Pretty happy and another step closer to firing, need to get a few bits and set fuel pressure.
