yep, that's the one i found - the clutch sleeve sits over the top of the flywheel bolt and transfers the force from the release bearing to the pressure plate (you can see the wear marks on the 'fingers' where it sits, on the photo)

if it's not in place it would certainly explain why your clutch isn't working...

Looks like KTS is winning the virtual prise of nothingness for correctly guess that I’m a numpty and didn’t fit the clutch sleeve!!!!! As here it is on the bench.

New clutch release bearing fitted while the lids off.

Sleeve fitted.

Trouble is now the master cylinder isn’t holding any pressure so looks like a re build kit for that next.

Wow I don’t want f to declare how many meetings at work I’ve been working though this but let’s say it’s more than a healthy obsession. I must admit when I started reading this I’d didn’t think you would make it. I also didn’t want to admit that a resto takes this long only being 8 months in.
Keep it up. Maybe see you a Imm next year?

I'll try not to spam too many baby photos! lol

Good work Verderad! that's pretty good dedication.

While on the night feeds I've been putting together the next shopping list for parts and now where settled in a little normality (if there is such a thing) I might be able to get a few hours in at some point.

Hey there TMF’s long time no speak! Apologies for not being around but the daughter is taking up most of my time theses days!

Anyway I will have some hopefully excitingly news over the next month or so with regards the van. But, I wanted to ask all those dads
Out there, at what age did you take your kids out in car seats in your minis and whats the best way to make sure the little bambino’s are safe?

That might give the game away a little!

I didn't take my daughter out in my Jag Mk2 until she was nearly three, however that was mainly because it wasn't on the road before then!

I think as long as you have a three point belt for their car seat it would be ok from birth but personally I would wait until they were in a forward facing seat.

Having said all that I would be reluctant to put them in the front seat in a mini which of course is probably the only choice if it's a van.
