Gone with some nice rubber finish trim that runs from rear doors all the way round to front arches....

My photo storage accounts over limit so cant post pictures at the moment till i get it sorted but i want to wait and let you all see whats been going on over the last few months...
 

It'll be interesting to see what you found SAL, I'm in need of something to finish off my new arches on my estate

Front arches are cut to allow the front end to be removed in situ.

Guys I cannot seem to get 3rd and 4th gears any ideas?

Slots into 1st and 2nd and reverse ok... the gearbox hasnt been a part only the transfers when i split the block and gearbox.

It does have an anti seal gear selector thingy on if that makes a difference..

Lol sorry missing a few words there.

Ive fitted an anti leak seal to the gear selector / gearbox end and have heard these can effect gear selection.

Car is stationary with clutch down slots into 1st and 2nd fine.

ok.  i'd think the additional seal would more likely cause issues selecting 2nd, 4th or reverse if it wasn't seated in far enough

 

if the engine is static it could simply be that the baulk ring 'ears' aren't lined up with the grooves in synchro hubs.  try spinning the engine over a couple of times and try again

Well.... time seems to fly by thesedays and as such I didn't get to drive SAL last year or as it stands this year either...

 

However, this could change very soon as the MOT is booked in for next week. 

 

Got a video fron the boys in the week with them driving her round the yard so shes moving and stopping under her own steam!! 

 

I cannot seem to upload videos these days though.

Ok so that didn't go to plan... 

 

SAL was meant to get MOT'd yesterday until we realised that theres no chassis plates as I took them off when the body got painted and now cannot find them.. 

 

Had to order some new ones which means it wont go for MOT till next week now...
