Hi, just introducing myself I am Kev from Co.Durham

I had until recently been the owner of a tiger kit, [url"Posted Image"]But have sold it and decided to have a go at building something myself. I am a complete novice never built anything in my life! I have always liked minis and knew of zcars, so went to visit a couple of weeks ago. Posted Image went out for a run with Chris in the demonstrator and i am now hooked. I have aquired a donor and begun to strip it Posted Image. So far i have removed the inerior all the seats carpets, belts, taken the bonet off the boot off, drained the fuel and removed the grill.[url"Posted Image"] . Posted Image. I am waiting for my Haynes manual to arrive from E-bay before stripping the rest. I have quite a few panels that need changing and i am thinking of fitting a fiberglass flip front end. I will try and update this post with picture as i get things done. Any tips or help would be more than welcome. I am trying to find the correct way of removing panels and glass.

Hello and Welcome.

What kit have you gone for?

If you have any questions and I know the answer I will help you out as much as possible, if you can make sure you pose questions in the Technical and Problems area that way we can see you need help and it helps others in the future trying to find similar information.

I look forward to seeing your progress with the project.

I was in a similar position, I built a Super 6 and about 4 months later made the mistake of having a passenger ride at the Donington Kit Car show in the original Red Hyabusa. I tried to convince myself to keep the Tiger having spent 2 years building it but the following year sold it to make way for a vtec Mini.

Good luck with the build.

I've just finished removing all the bitumen off my floor. It took me around 3 days of work to completely remove, including the residue left. It's a B***H to do, isn't it!

Good luck with the whole thing, I look forward to seeing what happens with it :)

Hi Kev, yet another zcars in durham. I found removing the bitumen was quite easy with a heat gun and small wallpaper scraper.
