There's a guide on the TMF CD ( pinched from an old copy of Keeping your mini alive ), obviously we cannot publish that on here. But there are may, including myself, which have done this conversion.

This subject has been talked about alot, if you do a search there will be quite a few threads that will answer your question.

In short, it depends on the quality of the mould, and how closely it matches the original front, they take alot of fettling around with and can take quite a long time to get sitting just right!

the above link is a gide from minidan, i have seen this front and i must say it is VERY well done and the guide is very simple to read, The most complicated bit its cutting the front off so if you have already had the front removed from the a-panels forward they you are ok. The fitting is the easy part, just have a read and it will be simple enoguh.

Dont know if this is a stupid question or not but i was talking to a bodyshop during the week about flip fronts and he said to get a flip front with some sort of reinforced cage frame in the fibreglass front. Was he talking rubbish or do these actually exist ?
sorry for the thread Hi-jack
Cheers,
Ryan
