hopefully getting it fixed this weekend. It aint really that bad, the passenger arch needs doing and the join near pedals, rest of floor is solid. Cant complain for £200 really...

According to that tyre site (looks for link) the blue ones on it, are cooper s steel rims :S

If my current tyres fit (there 10x4.5 i think, 145 india tyres?) and the price is right, i am on the look out for alloys.

Sprayed straight from tin, i bought the paint at halfords.

Its rover diamond white and matches v.well as i couldnt find the original paint code. Then clear lacquered, needs a t-cut polish in next few weeks.

I was told, the paint work is only as good as the prep work. I wish i'd spent longer smoothing the filler and applyed more filler n sanded again etc, because theres dints and cracks in paint. But bumper hides it anyway, so nm.

Cars getting picked up tomorrow!

depends on what area. I spent about 2 hrs sanding and smoothing each door. Couple of days on front panel and around headlamps. 2 days on lower bk near bumper lip.

Using different grades of wet n dry, cleaning, wet n dry again etc.

Then it was 3 coats of primer, 3 coats of paint, 3 coats of clear lacquer.

Leaving appriopate time between, it needs a t-cut and shud be looking good then.

Might not be perfect, but its rust free and all same colour now. (a previous owner, topped up the white in rusty areas with some emulsion, silly tw*t)
