right you can get away with stick on number plates as i did, so long as its on the proper reflective background and the letter are the right font, but you will steill need to attach the old number plates to gte through MOT's and the polics can still pull you for it,

while we are talking of legal, 3 lamps is illegal, you have to have a even number of laps, i.e 2 fog, and 2 spots, so all those people with a IJ stle lamp bar are braking the law too.

Karl.

I'll bear that in mind, I didnt realise. I do want my plate back there just because it looks relatively original

My opinion - think spots look pretty good so fitted four on a bar to my city. There are only two brackets (one on either end of the bar) so the bar wobles continuosly so they aren't much use. Also they are 55W each so absolutely kill the battery and you lose engine power. With all six lights on you have to be at pretty high revs to make the charging lights go off. You also have to run a new live feed from the starter motor and then wire up a load of relays and switches unless you get the fitting kits which looked pretty poor to me and also switch all four lights on together. Spots also make it a pain in the arse to get access to remove the grill to get to the dizy and other things like oil filters that won't shift etc..
If you do fit 'em try and make them easy to remove for access and try not to run the wires through the grill else you can't slide the grill out behind them easily.
Good luck anyway!
