hi all!

thought i would start a new topic page off.

i am still keeping my original car but have taken the plunge and sorted some money out to take my car off the road for a rebuild.

at the monment i am in the planning stage but am 95% sure of how i want the finished car to be.

at the bottom of this tread are the two cars that are inspireing me, they both have features that i like and wil use in the car.

currently i cannot afford to do much to the engine acept add the bigger carb that i have along with the stage 1 kit that is already on the car, i will also get the engine properly set up on a rolling road when i have finished the build.

also the interior will not change that much as i think this is the best part of the car at the moment anyway.

what will change is the braking and look of the car.

as in the title i am looking to creat as street racer but with a minimal euro look (low and wide)

the above car has the street racer look that i really like and is one of the best minis about.

This next car is the real inspiration for my project i just love the way it looks and everything really works on the car!

ok so the car should look something like the silver and blue car.

plan so far is to have all the panel work done on the car which i am obtaining quotes for at the moment the car needs:

sills
doorsteps
wings
front panel
bonnet
a panels
roof
doors
boot

and also some repairs around the rear windows.

the car will be compleatly resprayed in black apart from the roof skin which will be carbon fiber.

i am also trying to get hold of a set of arches like the blue car (from the silver bullet)

now for the fun part here are all the parts that i bought last week end on a trip to mini spares.

first up my new tyres, these will be wraped arond my favorite mini wheel!!!!

7x10" MB split rims which i ordered today!!!

due to the change in wheel size i have had to buy new brakes so i went for these 7.5" 4 pot ally calipers from mini spares. they are lush and weigh nothing compared to the standard callipers!

this is the HIF44 carb that i have rebuilt. i added a polished dashpot cover for a bit of bling :cool:

i have also just ordered one of the new calverST ITG induction kits which are suposed to be excellent!

hey ollie i got bored and had money burning a big hole in my pocket the wheels where ordered from MLMotorsport, the only downside is that they are going to take 8 weeks till delivery, that and the price

the parts that i am still yet to order are

carbon roof skin showing weave
carbon bonnet (gel coat)
mini bullet arches
