hi all, been doing my own head in trying to think of a different way to do my dash, want something unique but good looking, thought of everything, latest idea is to use the expanding foam that packing companies use to secure things in boxes, seems solid enough, might try and fill a box the size of the dash i want to design, then i can carve away until i get the dash i want,am i being hopeful or is it worth a try.neva know other people might carve away, think of the different designs we would see, good or bad idea.

That's a good idea and when it's finished you could overlay it with fibreglass matting and make a fibreglass dash.

its been chopped in width, height and length... but was surprisingly simple to do.... the thickness of 2" masking tape taken out and it fits almost perfectly.... I've tried a lot of things prior to this, but wanted something a bit different, that would get people talking, and created enough space to mount a decent speaker system, and very special guage set.

Your MINI dash in a classic Mini looks really good :closed: ...........adding the MINI Chromeline interior kit option would also look good:

start with some sketches.... work out what your dash needs to feature, and where you'd like those features to appear... it starts to come to life, and you can then work out the best way to build it... :closed:

How about a Curley Carbonfibre Mini dashboard as used in many race Mini's:
