right i wnat to respray my mini completely when i get the bodywork sorted, preferably in two-pack paint, thing is is the original paintwork celly or not, its a 1986 city e
Also to complicate matters i want to put offset cobra stripes down the whole mini!
how would i go about doing this, or is it wise to get a professsional job done?
i am a poor student-cash is kinda tight could save 1200 in 4 months if lucky and lifeless!

what i mean to say is can i just spray the stripes on the base coat or doi have to finsish the first coat then add detailing?

can anyone help me, i now know i can spray 2 pack over celly but what about the stripes, how much would this cost professionaly, assuming my bodyworks is spot on

Hey
The original paint on your car will not be celly, bit there is a chance that it would have been re-sprayed in celly, in any case you can spray 2 k paint over it.. but USE BREATHING EQUIPMENT... not worth you health for the sake of a spray job.
As for the stripes you can key the surface lightly, mask up with fine line masking tape and then paint, or for a simple solution get vinyl lines cut, easy to apply and
quick also. If you change your mind you can remove them at a later stage.

vinyl is an idea, i suppose if that looks good then i could spray them on, later, save a mistake!

Lol I've got a few of those but don't fancy painting in them, after a hour in them it gets pretty uncomfortable you have to wear a layer underneath them otherwise the charcoal will comes off as you sweat, a one piece light weight painters suit is fine.

is definatly overkill, because im going cellulose, for the time being, then having it repsrayed professionaly in 2pack, once i have saved enough, any important considerations i should consider for celly?
