hia everyone i have a 1275 mini that i bought just a while ago and i had to do the head on it so i done it . and when i went to start it it was misfiring on the two outside cylinders at tick over i tested the compression and it was 160 on the 3 cylinders and 150 and the one it was blown from and i check the spark there was spark from all the plugs and the was fuel well at least there should be becouse it is runing on a weber 45 dcoe . the engine has a polished and ported head with over sized values it also has a polished inlet it has a new lucas coil and 8 mm spark leads i am sending the carb in to a weber speacalist to get over hauld . the engine has loads of power when you drive it up the road it just when you take off the two out side leads there is no difference but wen u take off one of the inside plugs the engine nearly dies also when the engine is at tick over it is very lumpy and ruff. please help http://www.facebook....100001229153398

It's probably down to poor fuel/air distribution from the weber and it's manifold, and the firing order 3421 - the inner cylinders being favoured. Upgrade to an 8 port head to eliminate this.......... As long as it runs well on throttle - don't worry too much about the idle as long as it doesn't wet the plugs..........

160 psi is pretty much the bare minimum............ and certainly not the figure I would expect to get on a 'race' engine !
