Thank,s for the replies folks, the car is just lacking it,s engine at the mo. Engine spec: A series 1275 offset bored crosshatched and honed to 1380cc, 73.5mm Omega pistons,standard conrods, lightened everything else,rebuilt (nearly done) rod change gearbox with quickshift,HIF 44 on torquemaster inlet, and Maniflow LCB centre exist exhuast. All that you see had been in a garage for 19 years before i bought it!!!!!.

Now this looks brilliant, i'm a fan of rally inspired minis (especially in green and white) and this is a nice example with great period touches.

Thank,s Evan, I hope it goes as well as it looks.
It,s not quite finished but hope to have it on the road soon, i love the look of rally styled minis and have tried to source period parts when available.
I have put 100watt bulbs in the spots and it is amazing how much more you can see at night,it also makes owners of new cars with bright blue bulbs etc realise their not the only ones that can blind other drivers even on dip !!!!!.

Thats a great looking Mini! What size are the wheels, 10 x 5 or 10 x 6? They fit very well in the arches, which look like they could be the same size as the standard arches on my '91 City - its giving me ideas

The spotlight brackets ( 2 pairs ) were in a box of bits with the spots and fogs that came with the car when i bought it,i sold one pair to a chap with a rally prepared MK1 escort, he told me they are original ford brackets so might be afew pairs on ebay.

can you please tell me where you get them spot light brackets? i looove that set up

The wheels are 10X5 and are stamped " Minilight made in UK ". I am going to run on these with some Yokos or Falkens but would like Dunlops as they are period to the car but the price puts me off.
