Sounds good! Im gonna have to get the finger out and get some paint on the clubman, need to get the old dear back on the road!

You should be able to do it with all these dark nights and that relentless Shetland weather coming up, As a matter of interest how many members in the classic car club mate and, what selection of motors are there ?

Club outings will be limited i imagine.

Aye the dark nights are here along with the crap weather! There's actually a fair size of a club up here, I am a member but I dont take part in anything I must confess, and they organise a bi annual show which is quite large and has a lot of visitors up from the mainland. I dont know if there's a website to be honest. I think I need to get more involved! Im forever getting info through the mail to do with sunday runs here and there but until I get the clubby back on the road then im not much use to them as far as that goes. Hopefully within the next couple of week's I should be getting some gloss on the shell all going well, I keep the project thread up to date!

Just remembered there is a Facebook page "Shetland classic car club" . There's a few pics on there of the last show that was this summer, an excellent one it was too, just needs more minis!

Will have a look, I measured up the works van to see if it was possible to squeeze the mini in but alas, a no go.. i was thinking of getting the mini over on the ferry from Aberdeen at some stage ( summer only !!! ) with the other half to spend a week or so on the island to have a tootle about and see the sights, and be good to time it for a classic car bash.

Just a bit worried it might not make it to Aberdeen and would probably take two days to get there but, if you don,t try you will never find out.

I will keep you posted.
