Hi All,

I was at Southern Mini Days a last week and was looking at getting a K&N air filter when I found out that there are different air filters depending on the size of your carb, i was just wondering if anyone knew what size my carb would be or if i just need to measure it, she's a 1986 998 mayfair.

Thanks again,
Tom

A filter element for the existing case usually performs the best.

Your carb should be a HS4 - 1,1/2 inches.

Yeah agree with ethel. My mini came with a k and n pancake filter which sat behind the carb. It sounded and made the car run awful. But i Do believe you can get a kn air filter which sits inside the existing air box.

It should of been built with a hs4 however could of been changed at some point. either messure the carb to be sure it is 1.5" or post up a picture and someone will be able to tell you what carb you have
