My rubber cones are new all round the car (about a year old now) that could be why? surely if i took the bush out from the sub frame tower the other mounts wouldn't line up? (solid mounted front subby)

Also was reading on another thread that ball joints will be affected from removing the bump stops? >_<

Could be your problem then, looks like you got some good ones :)

yes, if you take the bush out then you will need to redrill the shell for the subframe mounts

Its not removing the bumpstops that casues any issues with the balljoints, it is running it that low. Not sure what the migs do mind.

ok thanks for the help mate im going to trim the bumpstops with the air hacksaw while i wait for the smaller poly ones :D

My favourite saying when it comes to lowering:

arch gap is like a woman's virgina, the more fingers you can fit in.... the worse it is

I hope you guys all reealise that with a STUPID amount of lowering, which is what most of these are, you are well into the region of seriously degraded handling because the front geometry will be all wrong, and I don't just mean camber. Even worse, the ball joints are going to be running out of angular travel, and the ball pins will be impacting the rim of the nuts. The WILL fracture, sooner than you might imagine, and a suspension collapse at any kind of speed can easily kill people. For taht reason alone, I suspect that your insurance is completely invalid, or will be when the accident happens.

I have no time whatsoever for complete idiots who insist on making their cars dangerous, just because they think it looks good, when in fact it is utterly stupid, and neither does the law. Grow up people, and if you don't understand the safety implications of what you are doing, don't do it.
