I want to paint my Gear rod and Handrake. I have the paint from when the last bloke who owned my mini when he got it resprayed. I think its two pack black. Whats the best way to apply the paint, can you use a brush or will it look naff? I dont want anything messy.
Can Anyone help?

Thanks

On those I would use smootrite ( Hammerite with out the hammered finish ) and a brush. It smooths itself.... couple of coats, job done

suggest black :cheese:

Do you think I should sand them down first to bear metal?

I used Smooth Hammerite on my rear valance.

although the surface was not smooth at all because of all the sanding and removing of Rust, The finish was still VERY smooth!

Could I use this hammerite stuff for touch ups on the exterior bodywork?, My car is black and the hammerite stuff I have bought is black aswell. Would you be able to see the difference and will it withstand the elements like the 2pack does?

You can do to stop it from rusting
depending upon size and the location of the stonechip you might see a slight difference
