The 25 has a heater that actually works, headlights that do something ,16v, mpi and dizzy less ignition as standard, 5gears, you mini lot pay stupid amounts of money for that stuff, i can actually have a conversation at motorway speed without shouting, wipers that clear the screen, not having to constantly wipe mist off the windows, not having to worry about driving in the rain, starts everytime.

I think you're missing the point of why we all own Minis.

Which is??

They're awesome little cars. Lets see if the Rover 25 has this much of a following in 40 years time ;)

Probably won't but I don't really care, it'd probably only end up the way the mini scenes going.

You can get a LOT more power from a K-series, even an 8v for a FRACTION of the price of getting that power from a (still) unreliable A-series.

K-series is a great engine, if you look after it it'll look after you, and that is genuinely true. My brothers ZR has done well over 100k on the same HG it left the factory on.

what a stuuupid arguement, you can get a lot more power from and old EVO/civic for a fraction of the price of what people pay for minis.
please.

And your original argument was what? That the A-series is bulletproof? and that the K-series (which has a lot more power as an out of the box engine) Is unreliable?...

It's akin to turning up at a VW show, standing on top of a car and shouting that all VW's are German crap because I say so.

why are you posting on here if you're just going to insult minis?
Yes a rover is more reliable but god what a boring car, at least with a mini you get enjoyment out of driving it. Yes they do break down, yes sometimes the dn't work/bits fall off. Yes they rust and fall apart and are a general money pit for what is a tiny not very powerful car, but we love them.
