Anything from sockets to tool boxes.

Looking to build up a decent tool kit rather than keep breaking cheap stuff.

Thanks

I would second ebay but there's always competition for Imperial stuff.

I'm sorry, but I rate halfords pro' stuff as highly ( if not higher ) than snap-on... the difference is snap-on has a bigger range.

I find the Halfords pro ratchets quite poor to be honest, the sockets are good though

For tool boxes look at the Clarke Contractor Heavy Duty range. My son has got the Top box and its a nice bit of kit, the roll cab looks good as well. Also Machinemart do VAT free days as well so buy something from them and you will be registered and should get an invite to your shop.

I have to say the Halfords pro stuff is very good however for ractchets and ratchet rings you cannot beat Snap on and Blue point. Kennedy and Cromwell do some good quality tools as well.

I use a combination of all of the above plus other more specialized items in the Aviation industry.

I will say the Clarke contractor stuff is a lot stronger and better built than the Halfords boxes. My son bought me a Halfords roll cab and to be honest its not all that good. Certainly not good enough for me to use at work where i use a Kennedy roll cab and old Clarke Heavy duty top box and bloody hell it is heavy.

I have one of their 1/4" drive mini socket sets i bought in Germany in the early 90's and is still going strong. Metric naturally.
