I have just refurbed a set of rostyles, and want to know what can i paint them with to stop the rust? i really like the plain polished steel look they have and don't want to lose it, as wheel paint looks fake...is there a clear laquer or anything i could use....ta!!

I know that standard laquer flakes off alloy wheels, i don't know about steel wheels however. I am pretty sure ther eis some kind of laquer that will stick to the wheels no problem, as ive seen various steel parts laquerd over bare metal. Unfortuntely i cant tell you what type it is lol!

Paint it or spray it..

Like these on this MG

Best way would be to get the wheels powder coated silver for a more durable finish
Then hand paint (brush) the black bits in with smooth hammerite
