ive just bought a new mini.

it has a 1275cc in her
the gearbox is the old style remote type with a sccr kit in her the output cover are cooper s as it has hardy spices and cooper shafts, i cannot find a number on the box though.
as for the engine is not A plus its A series
the number on it is

does anyone known what engine it is

Could be any of the BMC 1300 cars. Likely an Allegro.

just done some research and so far its defiantly from a mini
12h means mini 1275
it could be a 1275gt or a late mk3 s

but my numbers are not on there
the 12 h defiantly means mini 1275
its got the old style block not the A plus but the 976 at the end on guess- works chart come up as a metro turbo block which it is defiantly not as its the old style block

im thinking its a mk3 cooper s or a 1275gt

I have dug around for you (the wonders of Google search....) 12H159 is the engine code for the Austin 1300/Allegro.
