is the output on a newer mini cooper 1.3i higher than the standard one on my D reg 1000cc cause my lights go dim when the bass kicks in and the cd skips sometimes

sounds like you need a power cap, which will stay charge from ur battery and power your sound system,

Yup, power cap should do the trick, i bought one off ebay for £58 that was for a 1.5 farad, with a digital read out!! Not actually fitted it yet, as i got scared by all the warnings on it!!

Will do soon tho, my amp is running seriously low on power on deep bass

Yes, as they hold so much power, it is like don't do this, don't do that, DANGER DANGER risk of electric shock, please ensure that you dis-charge all charge before removing, can course permament damage, or even death.
