The Works Gp's may seem a little overpriced, but i reckon you could knock a grand off or close to it through some gamesmanship and haggling

They're a future collectable, only 500 made for the UK market, which is what stops me buying one (plus the 2 seats)

I'd want to drive it too much

They were nearly £30k new in 2006. I'm worried they wont get much lower in price and by the time I can convince Mrs Max that its a sensible buy :shifty: they'l be too pricey again >_<

yeah those minis are nice. but there slow compared to the other cars your looking at. rs2 FTW faster than anthing to 30mph when it was new. 0-60 4.8 seconds. STANDARD from an estate

Good work on buying an S2000, my mate has one, but I prefer what I bought (obviously as it's mine! lol)

One thing that I do love about S2000's is the sound, and one thing I hate is the cost of insurance, alot more than most other things in the same class, even though its slower in some cases!

Yeah, the insurance isn't cheap. But the cars themselves are a decent value in comparison to others. It works out about the same if you combine insurance and cost of buying to a lot of the other cars in a similar type of bracket.

A quick snap of the S2K. More to follow tomorrow.

Having only driven minis, it's quite a step up and i think it could take a little while till I know the limits of the car and how to make the most of it.

Its totally out of this word being able to pull away from the lights, accidentally in 3rd gear without a shudder. Not to mention the fact that it goes to 70mph in 2nd gear @ 8500rpm.

Constantly find myself unwittingly speeding - curb my habit of flooring as much like I did in the mini.

Its an absolute pleasure to drive.

Nice, you've taken quite a jump up like me!

Finding the limits can be a bit sketchy at first, and you definitely don't want to be Vtec'ing in the wet round corners!

My mate who I mentioned in my first post put his in a ditch last weekend! >_<

Good luck with the new venture and remember if it's not raining ROOF OFF!
