It looks absolutly stunning, I'm shortly embarking on my Woodys resto, is the wood kit on yours new? If so would you mind telling me where you got it from and in your opinion how gooder fit and quality it is? Thanks :errr:

Yep the Ash kit is brand new...

Sy gave it to me as my birthday present last year... Very romantic :genius: :-

It was a fantastic fit, and came from Somerford's..... The whole kit is available from Mini-spares and DSN, but Somerford is the cheapest for the lot, including fixings etc. It came in just under £600 with everything you need.

Amazing quality and beautiful workmanship too. My Dad is a cabinet maker and said he wouldn't want to make it for that kind of money, so gave it his stamp of approval...!!

One thing I would say is, don't get bored of preparing the wood properly before it goes on. I spent hours putting on over 15 coats of wood preserver, then days and days of exterior grade boat varnish, sanding between coats (all 7 of them)!!

It's well worth it, knowing that you're extending the life of such an important part of your car ;D

Hope that helps....
