Once again, it's been a while since i posted here, but the car is finished now....
Some of you may have seen it in the Show-n-Shine at the Riviera Run, where we came first place in our category...
Most of these pictures have been taken by other people, as our camera is rubbish....

I thought i'd take a picture of our custome electroluminescent gauges. These are fully dimmable, they are turned down quite dim for this picture as the picture wouldn't come out when i turned them up. This sort of brightness is about how we have it set anyway, as its not too bright....

What a beauty!!
I just luv the wood work. Looking ace.. It's nice to see that i'm not the only one who has put the cd-player in the hole where the switches were I've actually thought about putting wood panels and metal slides like yours in my mini's boot too (since the wood panels that are there now doesn't look even near as good as yours ).
Good work mate.. *thumbs up* =)

The wood panels in the back are actually Amtico flooring. It;s just about the most expensive flooring you can get, but last for ever. I get it free of charge through work whenever they have any leftover bits... The rear seat was custom made in order that we could use a piano hinge and create a really flat rear deck. Its worth it though, as it finishes off the interior really well, and is practical too. This car is now used as a daily car for the missus to go shopping in and stuff, so it was important that it should be functional as well as beautiful...

How's about you all wait until the magazine feature comes out.... otherwise there will be nothing worth reading
It took a long time to get them right, my brother helped out with the computer design skills needed to get the gauges looking perfect, but the fiddly electronic stuff was down to me and Sy.......

I found the wheels after searching for something that was a bit different, but still looked enough like the original steels- with hubcaps, to look right on the woody.....
They are called Cyclone wheels and are originals from the 60's, as far as I know they are pretty rare, I've only ever seen one other set for sale and that was on eBay!
