It was a Skoda Favrit I think.

The Rover 25 won't be able to be an official run vehicle. But we do get people tagging along in modern vehicles each year.

No, trust me it rolls a lot more than that, if I don't have my seatbelt on whilst cornering hard (well trying to in that) I'd fall out the sunroof or door window, it's got that much roll, lol! It was a good car for me though, never gone wrong, other than a split hose.

When did they first make the AX? I am guessing late eighties? They'll probably be deemed retro i guess.

I've seen people tape them over, I've also seen people with rivetted on little leather or PVC flaps on there.

I fitted leather front straps and have Dzus clips at the back of the bonnet so they're smooooooth.

It's just because they don't want any protrusions where bikers etc. could get hurt in event of being touched by a car on a corner incident I guess.

Oh crap so i have 8 pins to sort before the ring,Is there any more rules and regulations, iv tried scouting the net but cant find regs for cars only for track, for instance harnesses cages and seats wont be a problem will they, do they need fia certificates etc? Cant see them being that anal but a few forums iv been across seem to say they are!

I also worried about this on my first ring trip, took it all apart removed the bins, and eventually zip tied my bonnet on!

I wont be worrying about it this time, after 3 ring trips and about 50 odd laps i have never been asked to have the car scrutinized.

If they flag a problem with the zip ties i will then sort it out at the campsite with said zip ties etc.
