when i was in Canada i saw a marathon of the show, and i got to say i saw a lot of old hot rods win, that were done up nice, but got to agree that a lot of the cars they show are a waist of time and money, one gut fitted a Rolls Royce phantom grill to a Chrysler 300c

Typically american, clueless bastards. I bet the first dude that got in almost doubled the kurb weight of the car. Poor thing.

I'm American and I hate the big wheels and the butt looking paint jobs, but I do have the say that the Saturn 2 seater car does pack a mean punch as far as the turbo ecotec 2.0L, 260hp goes in its stock forum,
and a 1968 U plate mini huh?

Possibly due to being re-registered when it crossed the pond?
Doesn't look like it though...

You want to live here and hear the remarks Steve and I get about our Minis. World War 3 has nearly broken out on several occasions. Having said that we have met people who really appreciate our cars, but they are few and far between. I never watch that show, that girl is an utter tit head. I'm still trying to get my head round the Americans and Classic cars.
We bought a 1949 Chev Sports Coupe last year that was a basket case and we are slowly restoring it. I shake my head at the wacky things Steve is doing and the only thing that will resemble it's original looks is the body. I would have restored it to stock, how it came off the production line
