I was asking the OP but that's fine haha
I feel bad for people just passing then! It's a massive increase for a couple of years though! 7500 gets you a 1300 mini and 6000 gets me a 4.2 V8 Aston, I'm only 20! Stupid.

Get some quotes tpft. If you claim at all your premiums will sky rocket next year so unless you have a 2-3k motor it's just not worth going fully comp because even if you crash it, it won't be worth claiming on the insurance

Yep - TPFT is often as expensive as Comprehensive nowadays.

This lot is a prime example of why I think that since insurance is a legal requirement imposed by the government the government should also regulate it far more to keep prices sensible for the customers.

It's a stupid vicious circle!

Insurance is expensive, so some people don't bother, then they have crashes, pushing the prices up further, and so the cycle starts again!

Just hope they stick with it and actually make a difference.

If I had a crash and it was my fault and I was hospitalised/need medical care for life I'd certainly want comprehensive insurance.

Life insurance will cost you a lot less than 2k a year if you want to be covered.
