Has anyone brought any heads from the company called Smart performance advertised in mini world? whats the quality like and performance etc?

Also any advice on where to buy a gearbox overhual kit including bearings for a classic mini gearbox.

you can buy one of their engines.......as long as you dont mind it blowing up after about 600 miles due to cheap and nasty parts.

i've heard nothing but bad news about these people..........its up to you but i wouldent have anything to do with them to be honest.

heard good n bad reports about smart, but for gearbox try guessworks here on mini forum

Please do not spread rumours like this about us .. it can, and almost has ruined a business. You have not personally bought an engine from me and any issues we had with parts quality has been sorted and all involved have been refunded or sorted out.

Its really funny hearing from a person giving a review on a company based on internet feedback.

Ive had work done by chris and it was great, engine has done more than 600miles.

Ive had dealings with chris to some extent, and he is a good chap, and knew his stuff, and was very charming to me, very helpful..

I too have had direct dealings with Chris and his rolling road. The guy was great and even threw in a new manifold gasket to replace my leaking one once! Ive got nothing but praise for him.

Well i bought one about 2 years ago stage 3 1275, still running been well thrashed and been on about 4 engines and im happy with the work .
