I actually go more for the banter than the track itself, don't get me wrong the track is good and everything but the crowd make the trip......

OOO cheque has cleared. Already looking at a 3 hour drive just to the start point. Which at that point will have been the furthest I've driven the mini with the 1293 in. Its only done a few thousand since last may.

Also not wanting to sound impatient but when will we get the run packs? I should probably tell the missus I'm going aswell......ooopps

Sorry, I should have explained that the run packs are handed out at Buckmore Park when we arrive.

I can't remember where you're from, but if you're heading from anywhere North of London a load of us are heading down to Dartford Travelodge the night before the run and we'll then be heading to Buckmore for 6:45am (staff will be there at 6:30am).

OK, well James (Ministar) and Andy (Bakker110) are planning to meet us at Watford Gap services the night before the run (probably around 7:00-7:30) if you want to hook up with us...we'll be in Minis so not gunning it. I find it way, way too early to go all the way down the morning of the run as I'm 4.5 hours from Brands so it'd mean leaving home at 1:30-2:00am.

This sounds absolutely amazing! I do have one question though...In a 998cc with a passenger, what speed is the convoy? Is there a convoy? Can I turn up 4 hours after everyone else having driven at 45mph all the way?! I've done a couple of 400mile round trips in him but I do chunter along at 50mph tops...

There will be a few small convoys, there will be no problem at all if you want to take your time on the way over. The only thing would be arriving at the campsite after dark really.

There are a few Minis signed up so far so it makes sense to hook up with them and convoy over together really.

There are a lot of people saying they're going to come, but not actually signing up at the moment. With the Buckmore Park track booked and paid for and also the camping discount arranged, we are going to have to stipulate that those are only available for signed up runners and nobody else.
