Hiya, I posted this earlyer in the week and got no joy.

So I was woundering if there were any tips of the trade in how i go about painting the chrome backing shells?

I really want this done as it will set my mini off just perfect!

sand off the chrome plating and key the surface, etc primer > primer > pain > lacquer

isnt there a chance of the paint not taking, then having a rubbish keyd dome?

i saw on '' Pimp my ride '' they painted over carbon fiber, you maybe could get away with it, have to have quite a lot of layers probley, o.o

Try your hardest to get the chrome off.. Use a hard biting etch primer and then paint.

Should be fine. Normal primer has less chance of biting into the chrome though. I found a U-POL etch primer called ACID #8 or something quite good.
